Overview

Oracle’s Global Tax Audit team is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Senior Manager to join the Australia-based team in Canberra. This key role focuses on managing indirect tax audits, addressing GST and cross-border compliance, and supporting NIBT litigation matters. Ideal candidates bring extensive APAC indirect tax knowledge, global tax frameworks expertise, and strong leadership in audit defense and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage indirect tax audits across the APAC region, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Handle GST compliance and reporting for Oracle's Australian operations.
• Address cross-border indirect tax issues, including VAT/GST in multiple jurisdictions.
• Support NIBT litigation matters, preparing documentation and strategies as needed.
• Defend tax positions during audits with tax authorities, minimizing liabilities.
• Collaborate with global tax teams to align on indirect tax policies and procedures.
• Provide stakeholder management, advising senior leadership on tax risks and opportunities.
• Mentor and develop junior tax professionals within the team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in indirect tax, with focus on APAC GST/VAT.
• Deep knowledge of Australian GST and cross-border tax compliance.
• Proven track record in tax audit defense and litigation support.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with global tax frameworks and Oracle's business operations preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Law, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CTA) advantageous.
