Position Overview

As a Telcos Consulting Sales Rep 5 in Bogotá, Colombia, you will drive Oracle's consulting services sales within the telecommunications sector, focusing on helping telco clients optimize operations, accelerate digital transformation, and maximize ROI from Oracle solutions. This senior-level role involves strategic account management, solution consulting, and building long-term partnerships with key decision-makers in Colombia's telecom industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft compelling proposals that address complex business challenges in network modernization, customer experience enhancement, and 5G deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within Colombia's telecommunications sector, targeting major telco operators and service providers.
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments with C-level executives to identify consulting opportunities for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Fusion Applications, and industry-specific solutions.
  • Develop and deliver customized sales presentations, RFPs, and proposals highlighting the value of Oracle consulting services for telco digital transformation.
  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including CTOs, CIOs, and procurement teams, to expand Oracle's consulting footprint.
  • Collaborate with Oracle's consulting delivery teams, pre-sales engineers, and partners to design solution architectures tailored to telco challenges like OSS/BSS modernization and edge computing.
  • Negotiate complex contracts, pricing, and terms to close multimillion-dollar consulting deals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Track sales pipeline, forecast revenue accurately, and report on key metrics using Oracle's CRM tools to meet quarterly and annual targets.
  • Represent Oracle at industry events, telco forums, and customer workshops in Colombia to showcase thought leadership in telecommunications consulting.
  • Mentor junior sales reps and contribute to regional sales strategies for the LATAM telco vertical.
  • Stay abreast of telco industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to position Oracle consulting as the preferred partner.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, with at least 5 years focused on consulting services or professional services sales in the telecommunications industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in complex B2B environments, ideally with multimillion-dollar deals in LATAM.
  • Deep understanding of telecommunications business processes, including network operations, billing systems, customer care, and 5G/edge computing.
  • Strong consulting sales acumen, with experience selling implementation, optimization, and transformation services.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Spanish and English, with the ability to influence senior executives.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce or Oracle CX, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within Colombia and LATAM as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business or Telecommunications.
  • Prior experience working with Oracle products or competing ERP/cloud solutions in telco environments.
  • Existing network of contacts within Colombia's top telecom operators (e.g., Claro, Movistar, Tigo).
  • Technical certifications such as Oracle Cloud certifications or telco-specific credentials (e.g., TM Forum).
  • Fluency in Portuguese to support broader LATAM initiatives.
