Overview

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking Undergrad Hardware Engineers for a New College Grad role in Santa Clara, CA, targeting students graduating with a Bachelor’s degree by June/July 2026. This fully in-office position offers hands-on experience designing and developing cutting-edge hardware for OCI's cloud infrastructure. Start dates are June 1st or July 13th, 2026; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype hardware components for OCI server and storage systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with cloud software.
• Conduct performance testing and optimization of hardware prototypes.
• Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and firmware for new hardware designs.
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues in lab environments.
• Contribute to hardware architecture decisions for high-density cloud computing.
• Document designs, test results, and engineering processes.
• Support manufacturing and production ramp-up for OCI hardware products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (graduating by June/July 2026 or within 12 months prior).
• Strong understanding of digital/analog circuit design and PCB layout.
• Experience with hardware description languages (Verilog/VHDL) or FPGA prototyping.
• Proficiency in tools like Cadence, Altium, or oscilloscopes for hardware development.
• Solid programming skills in C/C++ or Python for embedded systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
