Position Overview

Oracle is seeking a Virtualization Sales Specialist to join our dynamic sales team in the United Kingdom, focusing on driving revenue through our industry-leading virtualization solutions. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in virtualization technology to identify opportunities, build strategic client relationships, and close high-value deals. This position offers the chance to make a significant impact within Oracle's Virtualization Team, collaborating with top-tier enterprise clients to deliver transformative cloud and infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate leads for Oracle's virtualization portfolio, including Oracle VM, Oracle Linux, and related cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Conduct needs assessments with prospective clients to identify virtualization challenges and position Oracle solutions effectively.
  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets in the UK market.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers in enterprise IT and infrastructure teams.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concept presentations showcasing virtualization performance and ROI.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales engineers, product managers, and partners to create customized solution proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure profitable deals while meeting customer expectations.
  • Track sales pipeline using CRM tools like Salesforce, providing accurate forecasts and regular reporting to leadership.
  • Stay abreast of competitive virtualization technologies and market trends to refine sales approaches.
  • Represent Oracle at industry events, webinars, and customer workshops to promote virtualization offerings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in B2B technology sales, with a focus on infrastructure or virtualization solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in enterprise software or cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or Oracle VM.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging C-level executives and technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite for sales tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the UK for client meetings and events.
  • UK work authorization and right to live and work in the United Kingdom.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling Oracle products or competing virtualization/cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Technical certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect or VMware Certified Professional.
  • Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Existing network of contacts in the UK enterprise IT sector.
  • Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant sales training certifications.
