Safety Coordinator

Implement and manage safety programs and procedures that will reduce injuries and their associated costs, as well as meet all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.



YOUR IMPACT
  • Conduct safety audits of facilities to pinpoint unsafe working conditions, behaviors and practices and develop sound recommendations for corrections

  • Investigate injury reports and follow-up to ensure corrective action is taken

  • Maintain all required documentation for Oshkosh Corporation’s DOT program

  • Coordinate industrial hygiene testing and implement corrective action, if required

  • Oversee safety-related training that is required to remain in compliance with all applicable regulation

  • Update management on the status of Oshkosh’s safety program through monthly and quarterly reports

  • Strengthen and lead the Company’s ergonomics program

  • Coordinate the services of insurance carriers and outside consulting personnel

  • Organize, plan, and steer the Safety Representative Program to ensure that Oshkosh employees are provided with a safe workplace

  • Work closely with our Health Services Manager on worker’s compensation concerns

  • Maintain an active role on our Safety Implementation Team

  • Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, etc., on the design and construction of new equipment, facilities and processes to insure safe design

  • Develop and recommend general accident prevention programs to include specific protective procedures and devices



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Internship experience



STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
  • Work experience in industry

  • Must be knowledgeable with applicable safety regulations.

  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Must possess computer skill

Pay Range:

$51,400.00 - $79,200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
