We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Rollout Services team in Finland. Your responsibilities, role and compensation will be tailored to fit your skills and experience. Preferred location: Helsinki, Tampere or Oulu, but we can also hire remote employees in Finland.
As our backend engineer you will:
- Build and design scaling backend systems in a modern cloud environment
- Create high availability & low latency services for delivering configuration and content to our mobile application
- Contribute technical expertise to the team of frontend and backend developers & collaborate with our application, cloud and firmware development teams
- Champion engineering excellence through driving continuous operational improvements and delightful developer experience at Oura
- Be part of choosing the future technologies used across the whole software development organization
We would love to have you on our team if you have some of the following:
- 3+ years of software development experience
- Experience in building APIs with Python and Rust
- Competence in working with various databases, both SQL and NoSQL
- Experience in cloud infrastructure, containers and serverless architecture
- Have a proactive attitude and ability to take end-to-end ownership: taking a rough idea, working with others to turn it into a concrete feature or product
- Interest in great engineering practices improving developer experience
- Excited to learn how productivity is improved by easy-to-use internal tooling
- Good communication skills in English. English is the de-facto language, no Finnish required
