The Packaging Engineer PL position in Itu, São Paulo, Brazil, is a high-impact specialist role overseeing Continuous Improvement for packaging across all Salty category sites in Brazil—directly managing 6 facilities. This full-time role focuses on operational certifications, KPI management (yield, true efficiency, overpack), IPS audits (internal and international), SETs deployment for LATAM packaging guidelines, new bag sizes, promotions, and productivity projects. With PepsiCo's new Packaging Automation processes, deep expertise in this technology is essential to support automated lines effectively.
Accountable for operational certification of all packaging operators and deploying SETs training. Lead IPS audits as an auditor for other countries while preparing local lines for compliance.
Drive Continuous Improvement KPIs including yield, overpacking, and true efficiency. Utilize the MOTOR+ system to identify root causes, develop action plans, and enhance performance.
Implement productivity projects such as LSS initiatives, CAPEX investments, and optimizations, serving as leader or support. Oversee all new bag sizes implementation and packaging promotions.
We seek a hands-on engineering graduate with a strong shop floor presence and Continuous Improvement mindset, spanning frontline to senior leadership. Essential skills include project management, problem-solving, collaboration, proactivity in ambiguous environments, risk anticipation, practical solutions, learning agility, results orientation, and passion for talent development.
