Role Overview

The Packaging Operations Team Lead at PepsiCo's Riyadh plant in Al Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, plays a pivotal role in executing production plans across packaging machines. This full-time position ensures optimal manpower utilization, superior product quality, and minimal losses. You will supervise packaging lines, train operators and packers, and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and cost savings. Key Responsibilities

As Packaging Operations Team Lead, your core duties include:

• Developing shift production plans and ensuring on-time schedule attainment.
• Supervising operators and packers to confirm proper job execution.
• Conducting initial and annual refresher trainings for all subordinates.
• Leading line improvements and cost-saving initiatives within your team.
• Attending meetings, trainings, and evaluating subordinate performance.
• Achieving department targets for line efficiency, material efficiency, and grams giveaway via tube sign-out reports and weight control sheets.
• Managing staffing ratios, including breaks, cleaning, and time tracking.
• Optimizing Colos/SAP programs for full utilization.
• Maintaining quality in packets and cases while ensuring machine upkeep through random checks on bag maker and Ishida maintenance checklists.
• Upholding GMP standards with clean areas and checklist compliance.
• Reporting health hazards, issuing work requests, and ensuring quality wall attendance (15 times/month).
• Implementing and sustaining OH&S Management System per PepsiCo GEHSMS, legislations, and EHS standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should have:

• A Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferred experience with flexible packaging machines.
• Basic communication and computer skills.
• A positive working attitude and ability to supervise teams effectively.

No prior supervisory experience is explicitly required, but a proactive approach to training, efficiency, and safety is essential. Knowledge of production metrics, SAP systems, and manufacturing best practices will set you apart.
