General Purpose

Provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents in accordance with their assessment, care plan, and facility standards.



Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and dining

  • Measure and record vital signs (TPR), weights, and intake/output as instructed

  • Respond promptly to call lights and ensure residents unable to call for help are checked frequently

  • Observe and report changes in condition, skin breakdown, or unusual findings to the Charge Nurse

  • Perform care procedures only as trained and within scope

  • Maintain resident rooms, belongings, and equipment in clean, orderly condition

  • Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes

  • Provide restorative and rehabilitative support as directed

  • Ensure confidentiality of resident information and follow all facility policies regarding infection control and safety

  • Report accidents, incidents, concerns, and potential violations immediately

  • Create a warm, positive, and respectful environment for residents, families, and coworkers



Qualifications
  • Active California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

  • CPR preferred

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively

  • Must be able to lift/move up to 25 lbs and assist in resident transfers/mobility

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassion and professionalism



Work Environment

Noise level is generally low to moderate. May be required to assist during emergency situations and evacuations. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
