Job Posting: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Part-Time
Location: Linwood Meadows Care Center – Visalia, CA
Starting Rate: $42/hour

Linwood Meadows Care Center, a top-rated skilled nursing facility in Visalia, CA, is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our compassionate and collaborative rehab team. Position Summary:
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to residents, helping them regain independence in activities of daily living and functional mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care as outlined in the treatment plan developed by the Occupational Therapist

  • Assist in the implementation of treatment goals and plans

  • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist

  • Accurately document treatments and patient responses using facility systems (e.g., Casamba, PointClickCare)

  • Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy goals and home exercise programs

  • Participate in team meetings, care planning, and discharge planning as needed

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Current COTA license in good standing with the State of California

  • Experience in a skilled nursing or post-acute care setting preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in documentation software and electronic health records
