We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Unit Manager (UM) to lead clinical operations on one of our nursing units and ensure excellence in resident care.



Position Summary

The Nursing Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical and operational functions of an assigned unit. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, promotes quality resident outcomes, supports staff development, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to maintain a safe and efficient care environment.



Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise nursing staff on assigned unit

  • Ensure compliance with Ohio Department of Health and CMS regulations

  • Oversee resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation

  • Monitor quality measures, incident reports, and infection control practices

  • Provide staff coaching, education, and performance management

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapy, admissions, and administration

  • Participate in audits, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly



Qualifications
  • Active RN or LPN license in the State of Ohio (required)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting

  • Prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of state and federal survey process

  • Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
