Essential Duties

As a full-time Nursing Assistant Trainee, your primary role is to develop the knowledge and skills required to become a Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC), while pending state testing and credentialing.

In addition to learning the duties and responsibilities of the position, you will become familiar with the facility’s administrative structure and participate in pre-training orientation. You will be responsible for ensuring that resident care needs are met in a compassionate, efficient, and professional manner under the guidance of licensed nursing staff.

Key responsibilities include assisting with daily resident care, reporting changes in residents’ conditions, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to established facility policies and procedures. You will support residents with personal care, assist with meal services, and contribute to maintaining a safe and clean environment. You will also engage with residents in a respectful manner, ensuring they are treated with dignity and their preferences are considered.

Your tasks will include the preparation of residents' rooms, assisting with transportation, providing basic personal care, monitoring vital signs, and recording care-related information. Additionally, you will follow infection control protocols, promptly report accidents or incidents, and ensure residents' privacy is maintained in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

This position requires active participation in training, cooperation with interdisciplinary teams, and strict adherence to safety and care standards. The goal is to provide high-quality, compassionate care to residents, with a focus on respect, dignity, and attention to detail.

Qualification


Education and/or Experience

  • Must be a graduate of an approved Training Program with Certificate of Completion
  • Must have active Washington State Nursing Assistant Registration with pending Nursing Assistant Certified credentials and testing dates.
