Job Opening: Occupational Therapist (Part-time/On-Call)

Mission Valley Post Acute, Fremont, CA

Position Overview:

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our supportive team and provide high-quality care to our patients. This is a part-time/on-call position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans based on physician orders.

  • Provide direct patient care, ensuring compliance with treatment protocols.

  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and provide training to Restorative Aides.

  • Maintain thorough documentation and communication with the healthcare team.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and in-service training sessions.

  • Assist with discharge planning and provide training for families and caregivers.

  • Make recommendations for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) as needed.

  • Report equipment maintenance issues to ensure proper functionality.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy License.
