Job Opening: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapy Specialist

Location

Pacific Coast Post Acute — SNF/Outpatient

Position Type

  • Rate Range: $58 - $64 per hour

  • Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

We are currently seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapy Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on optimizing function and improving the quality of life for patients with hand and upper extremity conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions for patients with hand and upper extremity injuries or conditions.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare team members.

  • Utilize evidence-based practices to guide treatment decisions and enhance recovery outcomes.

  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on injury management and rehabilitation strategies.

  • Perform splinting and fabrication of orthotic devices as needed.

  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with other rehabilitation staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Specialty certification in hand therapy (CHT) preferred or willingness to pursue certification.

  • Previous experience in hand therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, or a similar setting is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
