About Us

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our therapy team and support residents in maximizing independence, communication, and quality of life.



Position Summary

The Speech Therapist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, clinically driven, and passionate about working in a long‑term care/rehab environment.



Responsibilities
  • Conduct speech, language, cognitive‑communication, voice, and swallowing evaluations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
  • Provide direct therapy to residents in accordance with physician orders and resident goals.
  • Document evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursing, dietary, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and social services.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on treatment plans, communication techniques, and safe swallowing practices.
  • Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to resident-centered planning.
  • Ensure ethical and professional standards of practice at all times.



Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Kentucky SLP license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFYs welcome to apply.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to quality care.
