Job Description

General Purpose

We are seeking a Technology Vendor Manager to own and manage the full lifecycle of our technology vendors, including vendor selection, contract review, performance management, and cost optimization. This role plays a critical part in ownership transfers, such as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and internal restructures, ensuring vendor accounts are properly assumed, transitioned, or closed with minimal risk and disruption.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working cross-functionally, and experienced in managing vendor relationships, contracts, and account transitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor Relationship & Performance Management

     Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned technology vendors
     Manage vendor relationships to ensure service quality, reliability, and value
     Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and contractual commitments
     Lead vendor review meetings and manage issue escalation and resolution.
  • Contract Review & Lifecycle Management
     Review technology vendor contracts, amendments, and renewals
     Evaluate:
    o Pricing, licensing and usage models
    o Assignment, termination, and change-of-control clauses
    o SLAs, data protection, and compliance requirements
     Track contract milestones, renewals, and termination dates
     Support contract negotiations and renegotiations

  • Ownership Transfers & Account Transitions

     Lead vendor account assumptions, transfers, and closures during:
    o Mergers and acquisitions
    o Divestitures and
    o Legal entity or ownership changes
     Coordinate with vendors to execute account transitions, assumptions, or terminations
     Ensure billing, legal entity details, licenses, and access rights are updated accurately
     Work with IT and Security to ensure continuity of access, data integrity, and compliance
     Confirm proper data retention, data return, or secure data deletion when closing accounts

  • Financial & Risk Management

     Partner with Accounting to validate vendor spend and billing accuracy
     Identify opportunities for cost savings, consolidation, and optimization
     Assess vendor risk related to security, compliance, and operational dependency
     Ensure vendors adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

     Work closely with IT, Security, Legal, Finance, and Procurement teams
     Act as the central coordinator for vendor-related initiatives and changes
     Maintain accurate vendor documentation and reporting

  • Required Qualifications

     Experience in vendor management, procurement, IT operations, or contract management
     Experience reviewing and managing technology vendor contracts
     Strong organizational and communication skills
     Ability to manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously

  • Preferred Qualifications

     Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
     Experience managing technology vendors in a healthcare environment
     Experience managing vendors during mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures
     Familiarity with SaaS, cloud services, and enterprise technology vendors
     Experience working with Legal, Finance, and IT teams
     Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements
     Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
