As Director, you'll set the strategic direction for all social impact initiatives, including strategic philanthropy, Donor-Advised Fund stewardship, nonprofit partnerships, employee engagement, and product impact programs. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer and Vice President of Social Impact, you'll partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to deliver measurable outcomes for both communities and PagerDuty's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The Director, Global Social Impact will wear many hats, from strategist to partnership builder. Here are the core responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive social impact strategy that clearly articulates PagerDuty.org's value proposition and delivers long-term community impact aligned with company priorities.
• DAF Mastery: Own complete Donor-Advised Fund governance, including setting payout targets, managing grantmaking cadence, ensuring investment alignment, and maintaining strict compliance while balancing portfolios across focus areas, employee matching, and strategic investments.
• Partnership Development: Build and steward a high-impact portfolio of global nonprofit partners, structuring multi-year catalytic grants supported by robust theories of change, learning agendas, and equitable application/review processes.
• Impact Reporting Excellence: Lead all quarterly and annual impact reporting efforts, creating executive and board-ready updates, interactive dashboards, compelling case studies, and cross-functional collaboration materials.
• Sales & Market Expansion: Partner with Sales teams to scale nonprofit donation and discount programs, developing field enablement tools like eligibility criteria, offer matrices, sales talk tracks, and ROI narratives to drive sector awareness and adoption.
• Customer Success Motion: Collaborate with Customer Success and Support to define nonprofit-specific success frameworks, including onboarding playbooks, adoption milestones, health metrics, and leveraging skills-based pro bono to accelerate time-to-value.
• Employee Impact Programs: Design and oversee employee engagement initiatives that amplify volunteerism, skills-based pro bono, and giving programs to foster a culture of impact.
• Team & Budget Leadership: Manage the Senior Global Social Impact Specialist, lead annual planning/budgeting processes, and cultivate key cross-functional partnerships across the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as PagerDuty's Director, Global Social Impact, you'll bring:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in social impact, corporate philanthropy, or nonprofit leadership.
• Proven expertise in DAF governance, strategic grantmaking, and philanthropic portfolio management.
• Demonstrated success building and managing global nonprofit partnerships with measurable outcomes.
• Strong experience in impact measurement, reporting, and creating data visualizations/dashboards.
• Track record of cross-functional collaboration in matrixed corporate environments.
• Deep knowledge of CSR, ESG, and equity-centered program design.
• Exceptional communication skills for executive audiences, boards, and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in relevant fields like Nonprofit Management or Public Policy.
• Passion for technology's role in social good and building resilient communities.
• Ability to manage budgets, teams, and programs in ambiguous, fast-paced settings.

Salary & Benefits
