Role Overview

As Director, you'll set the strategic direction for all social impact initiatives, including strategic philanthropy, Donor-Advised Fund stewardship, nonprofit partnerships, employee engagement, and product impact programs. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer and Vice President of Social Impact, you'll partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to deliver measurable outcomes for both communities and PagerDuty's business objectives.

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive social impact strategy that clearly articulates PagerDuty.org's value proposition and delivers long-term community impact aligned with company priorities.
  • DAF Mastery: Own complete Donor-Advised Fund governance, including setting payout targets, managing grantmaking cadence, ensuring investment alignment, and maintaining strict compliance while balancing portfolios across focus areas, employee matching, and strategic investments.
  • Partnership Development: Build and steward a high-impact portfolio of global nonprofit partners, structuring multi-year catalytic grants supported by robust theories of change, learning agendas, and equitable application/review processes.
  • Impact Reporting Excellence: Lead all quarterly and annual impact reporting efforts, creating executive and board-ready updates, interactive dashboards, compelling case studies, and cross-functional collaboration materials.
  • Sales & Market Expansion: Partner with Sales teams to scale nonprofit donation and discount programs, developing field enablement tools like eligibility criteria, offer matrices, sales talk tracks, and ROI narratives to drive sector awareness and adoption.
  • Customer Success Motion: Collaborate with Customer Success and Support to define nonprofit-specific success frameworks, including onboarding playbooks, adoption milestones, health metrics, and leveraging skills-based pro bono to accelerate time-to-value.
