Role Overview

As a Part-Time Pharmacy Technician (Technician II, Health Systems Pharmacy) at Cardinal Health's pharmacy at AMG Specialty Hospital - Clear Lake in Webster, Texas, you will support daily pharmacy operations in a dynamic inpatient environment. This 20-hour-per-week role features a variable schedule including weekdays and some weekends, aligning with facility hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM and weekends 7AM-1:30PM.   • Managing inventory by taking stock, placing orders, checking in drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, and removing expired items.
  • Entering medical supply orders and patient data into the pharmacy information management system accurately.
  • Communicating professionally with patients, clinics, caregivers, and physicians to fulfill orders timely.
  • Processing returned medications for credit or destruction in compliance with guidelines.
  • Maintaining knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Comfort with repetitive tasks, multitasking, and technology like computers, smartphones, and tablets.
  • Flexibility in schedule, teamwork capability, and sound judgment.
  • May require vendor credentialing.
