This Part Time Weekend Pharmacist position at our Stafford, TX facility offers a unique opportunity to practice hospital pharmacy remotely without the traditional hospital setting. Work every other Saturday and Sunday during daytime hours, utilizing your clinical skills for patient monitoring, dosing, and medication therapy review. Leave dispensing to the hospital and focus on what you do best: delivering top-notch patient care. As a Part Time Weekend Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring continuity of care for hospital patients. Responsibilities include remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification to maintain accuracy and safety. You will assure acquisition or renewal of all pharmacy staff licenses, perform staff pharmacist duties as needed, and provide physician and nursing consultations. Additional duties encompass clinical medication dosing services, review and monitoring of patient profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes, and coordinating access to medications in compliance with facility policies, state, and federal regulations.
Your work directly supports acute-care hospitals by enabling efficient, high-quality pharmacy services. Expect to handle projects of moderate scope and complexity, applying judgment within defined parameters while receiving general guidance on new initiatives.
To succeed in this role, candidates must hold an active Texas Pharmacist License. Preference is given to those with 2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience. You must be willing and able to obtain at least 5 additional state licenses within the first 6 months, with the ability to gain reciprocity for multi-state practice. Computer savvy individuals comfortable learning multiple pharmacy information systems are essential. Excellent communication skills are required to interact effectively with healthcare professionals, facilitating competent clinical care. This position demands high energy, clinical orientation, and a commitment to patient safety.
