Role Overview

This Part-Time Weekend Pharmacist position offers a flexible work-from-home opportunity with Cardinal Health. Schedule every other Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am-8:00pm EST. You'll leverage your clinical skills in remote order entry for acute-care hospitals, practicing hospital pharmacy remotely. Key focus areas include medication therapy review, dosing, and patient monitoring, allowing you to prioritize patient care in a supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Pharmacist, your role is pivotal in delivering high-quality care:

• Perform remote order entry and evaluate/verify CPOE orders for accuracy and safety.
• Manage timely acquisition and renewal of pharmacy staff licenses for the team.
• Provide consultations to physicians and nursing staff on medication-related matters.
• Deliver clinical medication dosing services tailored to patient needs.
• Review patient profiles, lab values, and monitor therapeutic outcomes.
• Coordinate medication access in compliance with facility policies, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet these criteria:

• Active pharmacy license in state of residence and original licensure; TX license required at hire/interview.
• Active licenses in NC and TX preferred; multiple licenses a plus.
• 2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred.
• Ability to gain reciprocity in states including NC, FL, TX, SC, GA, LA, WI, and VA.
• Strong computer skills to operate multiple pharmacy information systems.
• Excellent communication for collaborating with healthcare professionals.

This position applies working knowledge to moderate-scope projects, identifies solutions to technical problems, and receives general guidance on new initiatives. Work is reviewed for accuracy and sound reasoning.
