Role Overview

This Part Time Weekend Pharmacist position offers a unique work-from-home opportunity with Cardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services. Work every other Saturday and Sunday from 3:00pm-12:00am EST, focusing on hospital pharmacy without the on-site dispensing demands. Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Pharmacist, you'll play a critical role in supporting acute-care hospitals:

• Perform remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Manage timely acquisition and renewal of team-assigned pharmacy staff licenses.
• Provide physician and nursing consultations to optimize patient outcomes.
• Deliver clinical medication dosing services based on patient needs.
• Review and monitor patient profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes.
• Coordinate medication access in compliance with facility policies, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet these essential criteria:

• Active pharmacy license in state of residence and original licensure; TX license required at time of interview/hire.
• Active licenses in NC and TX preferred; multiple licenses a plus.
• 2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred.
• Ability to gain reciprocity to additional states including NC, FL, TX, SC, GA, LA, WI, and VA.
• Computer savvy to master multiple pharmacy information systems.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interactions with healthcare professionals.

This position applies working knowledge to moderate-scope projects, identifies solutions to technical problems, and works under general guidance with reviews for accuracy.
