Role Overview

As a People Business Partner - Ujjain Plant HR Executive at PepsiCo, you will be at the heart of our People Experience & Operations team. This pivotal role focuses on delivering best-in-class employee experiences across the entire employee lifecycle, from hire to retire. You will drive on-ground HR processes with clear KPIs and service levels, supporting our India BU's digitization agenda and seamless employee journeys. Based in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, this position offers the chance to impact frontline operations in a dynamic manufacturing environment while collaborating with plant leadership, safety teams, and centers of excellence (CoE).

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

Lead frontline hiring by collaborating with employment exchanges, managing screening, interviews, background checks, and pre-employment testing. Coordinate seamless onboarding for plant employees, ensuring adherence to H2O processes, Day 1, and Functional Onboarding modules via myLearning platform. Handle contractual hiring based on business needs in partnership with departments.

Employee Processes and Administration

Act as the primary contact for employee queries on policies, benefits, payroll, schedules, and lifecycle processes. Drive learning administration, training facilitation, tracking, and closure for targeted groups. Support engagement programs like Dil Se, Plant Days, and OHS interventions, including communications and surveys.

Digitization and Process Excellence

Champion the BU digitization agenda, focusing on Time & Attendance (T&A) for PCI and NPCI workforce, Schoox, and myServices workflows. Identify streamlining opportunities using digital tools to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

Compliance, Safety, and CoE Support

Ensure compliance with central, state, and local regulations, including AIB audits. Maintain confidential employee files and collaborate with Safety and Operations for training, certifications, and clearances. Support CoE-led initiatives like performance management (PMP), training sessions, surveys, and core people processes. Provide logistics for HR events, rewards, and townhalls.

Plant Operations and Service Delivery

Offer administrative support to plant leadership, participate in continuous improvement, and manage reporting repositories. Act as a focal point for HR operations deliverables, handling queries within SLAs and driving process enhancements.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates need 1-3 years of professional HR experience, preferably in HR operations within the manufacturing or food & beverage sector. Key qualifications include:

  • Strong customer interface skills with a focus on employee experience excellence.
  • Excellent time management to handle priorities, ambiguity, and conflicting demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HR tools/interfaces.
