Role Overview

The PepsiCo Beverages Fleet Mechanic position in Delta, British Columbia, is an exciting opportunity for mechanically minded professionals passionate about automotive excellence. In this full-time role, you'll ensure our fleet of class 6/8 trucks and industrial equipment runs safely and efficiently, supporting the delivery of our famous brands across Canada. Key Responsibilities

As a Fleet Mechanic at PepsiCo, your core duties focus on reliability and efficiency:

• Performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment using our world-class PM program.
• Utilizing predictive diagnostic software to identify and eliminate potential vehicle breakdowns.
• Diagnosing failures and executing mechanical repairs and replacements as needed.
• Responding to local road calls or coordinating service support promptly.
• Completing all tasks in a safe, productive manner while adhering to our outstanding in-house safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet these essential qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Certified Heavy Equipment Technician in Commercial Transport, Heavy Duty, or Automotive / 310T Journeyperson.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with preventative maintenance on class 6/8 trucks and industrial equipment.
• Ability to provide your own professional tool set.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Physical demands include lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 100lbs, frequent standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and grasping in a multi-temperature environment. You'll also need flexibility for evenings, weekends, and overtime. Assets include experience with propane/electric forklifts, hydraulic liftgates, agriculture equipment, reefers, vans, pickups, cars, welding, electrical work, and a Class 1/AZ License.
