As a Full-Time Fleet Mechanic (310T Certified) at PepsiCo Beverages in London, Ontario, you will play a critical role in keeping our fleet of class 6/8 trucks and industrial equipment operating at peak performance. In this hands-on role, your responsibilities will include performing scheduled preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure reliability and safety. You'll utilize industry-leading predictive diagnostic software to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime. Diagnosing complex vehicle failures and executing mechanical repairs or replacements will be at the core of your daily work. Expect to respond to local road calls, coordinate service support, and handle all tasks in a safe, productive manner. Physical demands include lifting up to 100lbs, working in multi-temperature environments, and frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and overtime is essential to support our 24/7 operations.
To succeed in this PepsiCo Fleet Mechanic role, candidates must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent GED and be a certified HET / 310T Journeyperson. A minimum of two years of hands-on experience with preventative maintenance on class 6/8 trucks and industrial equipment is required. You must provide your own professional tool set and demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Physical fitness is key: be prepared to lift/carry/push/pull up to 100lbs and thrive in demanding conditions. Assets include experience with propane/electric forklifts, hydraulic liftgates, reefers, vans, pickups, agriculture equipment, welding, and electrical systems.
