Key Responsibilities

As a Fleet Mechanic at PepsiCo, your day-to-day duties will focus on ensuring fleet reliability and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment to uphold our world-class PM program.
• Utilizing advanced predictive diagnostic software to identify potential issues and eliminate vehicle breakdowns before they occur.
• Diagnosing complex vehicle failures and executing mechanical repairs, replacements, and adjustments as needed.
• Responding promptly to local road calls or coordinating external service support to minimize downtime.
• Executing all tasks in a safe, productive manner while adhering to PepsiCo's outstanding safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet essential qualifications and demonstrate a commitment to technical excellence. Required qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• HET / 310T Journeyperson certification.
• Valid Class 1 / AZ License in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with preventative maintenance on class 6/8 trucks and industrial equipment.
• Ability to provide your own professional tool set.
• Physical capability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 100lbs, and comfort working in multi-temperature environments with frequent standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and grasping.

Asset skills include experience with propane/electric forklifts, hydraulic liftgates, agriculture equipment, reefers, vans, pickups, cars, welding, and electrical systems. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and overtime is essential.
