With iconic brands that delight consumers across Canada and beyond, PepsiCo Beverages North America plays a pivotal role in delivering refreshing products to millions. Our commitment extends beyond products—we prioritize sustainability, community impact, and fostering diverse, inclusive workplaces. As one of Canada’s top 10 employers of youth, PepsiCo offers dynamic career paths for ambitious professionals. Joining our Winnipeg team means contributing to a mission-driven company that values innovation, ingenuity, and the unique perspectives of every employee.
The PepsiCo Beverages Full-time Refrigeration Technician position in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is perfect for skilled tradespeople who thrive in fast-paced, hands-on environments. This role involves servicing, maintaining, and installing soft drink dispensing equipment, including fountain systems, coolers, vendors, FCBs, and icemakers. You’ll join a dynamic service team, working 40 hours per week from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekend and evening on-call coverage. Compensation starts at $45.00 per hour for Journeyman Red Seal certified technicians, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus. If you’re motivated, mechanically adept, and customer-focused, this position offers immediate earning potential and long-term growth in the food and beverage sector.
As a Refrigeration Technician, your daily impact will be felt across customer sites in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include performing expert repairs and preventative maintenance on beverage equipment to ensure reliability and performance. You’ll handle delivery and installation of coolers, vendors, and fountain systems, often collaborating with team members to move heavy equipment (up to 800 pounds with aids). Building strong customer relationships through efficient, professional service is core to the role. Expect some evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis to provide on-call support, keeping PepsiCo’s brands flowing seamlessly.
To succeed, candidates must hold Journeyman Certification, preferably Red Seal in Refrigeration or related fields. Experience with soft drink dispensing equipment—such as fountains, coolers, vendors, FCBs, and icemakers—is highly preferred, along with any Small Appliance Repair or Refrigeration certifications. A valid Class 5 Operator’s License is required (Class 1 an asset), with a clean driving abstract. Demonstrate a positive team attitude, ability to work independently, proven attendance, and strong communication skills. During the 3-month probation, you’ll complete Pepsi Pro Modules and pass aptitude tests with a 75% weighted average. Physical demands are significant: be capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment with helpers and tools.
PepsiCo invests in its people with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. Earn $45.00 per hour, eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus, health and dental coverage, pension, and matching RSP. Enjoy a safety-first culture, great team environment where you can bring your whole self to work, and 40-hour weeks with predictable shifts. Beyond pay, perks include opportunities for overtime through on-call rotations and access to professional development resources. PepsiCo’s total rewards package supports your financial security and work-life balance in Winnipeg’s vibrant market.
This isn’t just a job—it’s a launchpad for advancement. PepsiCo encourages progression through Service Technician levels based on skills and performance. Gain hands-on experience that builds expertise in refrigeration and beverage systems, opening doors to senior technician roles, supervisory positions, or broader operations within PepsiCo Beverages. As a top youth employer, we provide training, mentorship, and future opportunities. Ask about our internal mobility programs during your interview—many start here and build successful, long-term careers with us.
