Role Overview

The PepsiCo Beverages Full Time Truck Jockey position in Mississauga, Ontario, is a newly created role designed for ambitious, hard-working individuals who thrive in dynamic, hands-on environments. In this full-time night shift role (Sun-Thurs 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM), you’ll play a critical part in our logistics operations by jockeying tractors, trailers, and trucks within the yard and docks. This position offers competitive pay starting at $32.57 per hour, shift premiums, overtime opportunities, and comprehensive benefits. Physical Demands and Working Conditions

This role requires physical strength to lift/carry up to 50 lbs repetitively over 8-10 hour shifts, maneuver large loads with agility, and operate equipment in varying weather, including poor road conditions. Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling are part of the job, ensuring you stay active and engaged outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

As a Truck Jockey at PepsiCo Beverages, your daily tasks will keep our yard operations running smoothly:

• Jockey tractors, trailers, and trucks to and from docks and compound areas with precision and safety.
• Safely manage traffic flow in the yard to prevent delays and hazards.
• Coordinate with common carrier and PBC drivers for seamless check-in/check-out at designated doors.
• Ensure all PBC trailers are positioned in assigned spots and communicate loading details to Delivery/Production, Shipper/Receiver/Checker teams.
• Report any tractor/trailer damages or deficiencies to the fleet department and red tag as required.
• Complete and submit circle check reports at shift start, maintain a tidy work area, and follow Control & Compliance Rules.
• Attach tractors to trailers daily, start tractors in winter, and handle additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• A valid Class AZ driver’s license with a thorough understanding of MTO regulations and the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) for commercial drivers.
• A clean driver’s abstract and proven safe driving record.
• Physical capability to lift 50 lbs repetitively, with flexibility for bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, and operating in diverse weather.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, plus the ability to work independently.

Assets include flexibility for extended hours/overtime and manual transmission driving experience. No prior customer service required, but it’s a plus for those dealing effectively with people.
