The PepsiCo Beverages Sales Representative position in Edmonton, Alberta, is an entry-level, full-time permanent role designed as a Relief Sales Representative. In this capacity, you will cover vacations and sick days for Territory Sales Representatives, gaining hands-on exposure to diverse customers, channels, and routes. This role serves as a launchpad for advancing into your own sales territory, where you will drive business growth through exceptional customer service, sales volume increases, and innovative partnerships with clients. As part of our dynamic field sales team, you will ensure PepsiCo's products dominate shelves and fridges in settings ranging from small independent shops to large-scale shopping centers. Success here demands creativity, relationship building, problem-solving, and a relentless drive for achievement.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding PepsiCo's market presence in Edmonton. Key responsibilities include developing business and accounts to boost volume, product distribution, and market share. You will sell and execute national and local promotions by securing placements for incremental marketing equipment, displays, and racks. Delivering top-tier service to assigned accounts while fostering goodwill is essential. Effective ordering will be crucial to eliminate out-of-stocks and out-of-date products. You will leverage point-of-sale materials to drive sales, collaborate closely with PBC delivery and merchandising teams for seamless service, and execute sales plans through strategic selling, merchandising, and building eye-catching displays in your assigned territory. Overnights may be required to cover out-of-town routes.
We seek motivated individuals ready to launch or advance their career in sales. A Bachelor's degree is required, with 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred and selling experience considered an asset. Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills are essential, alongside strong interpersonal abilities and presentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is necessary. You must hold a valid Driver’s License and have access to a reliable vehicle. Physical fitness is required to handle display building and merchandising tasks.
