Key Responsibilities

In this critical role, you'll ensure our production lines run smoothly and safely. Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying in-depth knowledge of electrical processes, equipment, and systems to meet challenging safety, quality, line utilization, and reliability standards.
  • Safely operating and maintaining high-speed packaging equipment in line with established procedures.
  • Completing preventive maintenance (PMs), accurately entering parts, and closing work orders in the INFOR system.
  • Ensuring full compliance with all Health & Safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Participating in line improvement meetings, projects, and continuous enhancement initiatives to boost product quality and efficiency.
  • Maintaining equipment in optimal condition for safe, productive operation while demonstrating computer proficiency for data entry and process control interpretation.

Additional tasks may be assigned by supervisors to support facility goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as a PepsiCo Foods Industrial Electrician, you must hold a valid industrial electrician license and possess the following:

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot high-speed packaging equipment and interpret process control data.
  • Basic computer skills, with programming as an asset; proficiency in INFOR for PM tracking.
  • Forklift operation and work-at-height certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, high numeracy, record-keeping skills, and problem-solving prowess.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Systems, including GMPs, CCPs, and oPRPs.
  • Physical capability to lift/carry/pull over 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, reach, and grasp for extended periods.
  • Excellent attendance, sense of urgency, multitasking ability, and shift/OT flexibility.
  • Power tool proficiency and safe equipment handling in a fast-paced environment.
