About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to lead our global revenue accounting operations. This critical role will oversee day-to-day revenue accounting activities, including monthly close processes, and provide technical revenue analysis for new customers and product offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of building and scaling revenue accounting operations in complex, fast-growing B2B environments characterized by high transaction volumes and diverse customer profiles. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliant revenue recognition under ASC 606, strengthening SOX controls, scaling processes, and collaborating closely with Commercial, Product, Legal, and FP&A teams as our platform and product offerings continue to evolve.

A Day in the Life

As a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting, your day-to-day activities will be dynamic and impactful. You'll begin by reviewing month-end close tasks, collaborating closely with AR and revenue operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to standardizing and improving revenue processes, controls, and documentation across month-end close and reporting activities. You'll be involved in reviewing and advising on complex supplier/partner contracts with multiple variable revenue elements and intricate data models. This requires a deep understanding of revenue recognition principles and the ability to apply them to diverse business scenarios.

Another key aspect of your role will be identifying opportunities for process automation and systems optimization in the order-to-cash cycle. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Maintaining and enforcing global compliance with revenue accounting policies and disclosures is also a critical responsibility. You'll support external audits by preparing workpapers and responding to inquiries, ensuring that our financial records meet the highest standards of integrity. Additionally, you'll assist in the design of controls over new revenue streams and business processes, as well as remediate currently identified control gaps, further strengthening our internal control environment.

Applying your sound knowledge of ASC 606, you'll prepare technical accounting whitepapers for non-recurring or unique revenue transactions, providing clear and concise guidance to stakeholders. Staying current with GAAP updates and trends impacting revenue recognition is essential to ensure that our accounting practices remain aligned with the latest standards.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is estimated between $90,000 and $130,000 USD annually, although compensation is always based on experience, location, and internal equity.
