About the Role: Solution Architect

As Perk expands into the expense and spend management market, we are targeting finance-led organizations with complex ERP landscapes such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage, and Datev. To succeed and scale, we need a technical authority within our solution consulting (pre-sales) team who possesses fluency in ERP systems, can develop early integration strategies, and prevent downstream surprises.

If you have a background in SaaS pre-sales, Systems Integrator implementation, or functional consulting, this role will feel like a perfect fit. It blends credibility, architecture, and customer influence.

What You'll Do

As a Solution Architect, you will be the technical backbone of enterprise expense/spend management deals. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Running ERP/finance discovery, conceptualizing, and designing integration approaches and options.
• Reducing risk before contract signature, increasing deal confidence, and ensuring a smooth handover to Professional Services.
• You will not be implementing the integration, but you will shape it, define its scope, and ensure its credibility.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Discovery & Integration Strategy

• Lead in-depth ERP discovery across SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage, Datev, etc.
• Translate financial processes into clear integration narratives (master data, approvals, posting, tax, reconciliation).
• Produce "solution architecture" diagrams that customers can trust.
• Rapidly assess feasibility, constraints, risks, and potential workarounds.

ERP Expertise & Authority in the Room

• Serve as the go-to integration expert within the deal team.
• Communicate clearly how our solution integrates via APIs, export files, middleware, and native connectors.
• Explain posting logic, chart of accounts, multi-entity setups, VAT workflows, project codes, and reconciliation cycles.
• Present solution architecture and integration strategies to customers, building trust and confidence.

A Day in the Life of a Solution Architect at Perk

Your day might start with a deep-dive discovery session with a prospective client, unraveling the intricacies of their SAP system and financial processes.
