Role Overview
The Experience Leader (ELR) provides exemplary leadership to drive the pet parent experience through culture and strategies. You'll share responsibility for team safety, pet welfare, daily operations, and financial results. This full-time role demands flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, focusing on people leadership, store experience, and business management.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Recruit, interview, hire, coach, and develop associates. Facilitate reviews, recognition, training, onboarding, and succession planning. Prioritize tasks, ensure pet safety, communicate priorities, and resolve grievances to boost engagement.
Overall Store Experience
Lead associate and pet parent interactions, handle reservations and escalations, oversee services (salon, training, hotel, day camp), live sales, adoptions, and events. Maintain standards, conduct monthly Services Walks, address pet health issues, and manage opening/closing procedures.
Business Management
Drive sales, control shrink, manage labor/supplies, leverage resources for work orders, and collaborate on scheduling to meet P&L goals.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 3-5 years in retail leadership or customer-focused roles. Key skills include computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and passion for pets. Full availability required.
