Role Overview

The Experience Leader (ELR) provides exceptional leadership to drive the pet parent experience, uphold company values, and achieve business results. This full-time role shares responsibility for store safety, operations, and financial outcomes, leading associates to deliver outstanding service in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop associates; manage labor, resolve grievances, and foster engagement through recognition and training.
  • Store Experience: Oversee services like salon, training, hotel, adoptions; handle escalations, events, and ensure pet health/safety; conduct compliance walks.
  • Business Management: Drive sales, control P&L metrics, manage expenses, and optimize scheduling/productivity with home office support.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3-5 years of retail leadership in customer-focused settings, full availability (evenings/weekends/holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Passion for pets and proven ability to lead teams to results are essential.
