Role Overview
The Experience Leader (ELR) provides exceptional leadership to drive the pet parent experience, uphold company values, and achieve business results. Share responsibility for team safety, pet welfare, daily operations, and financial performance in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach associates; manage labor, training, recognition, and grievances; delegate tasks and ensure pet safety protocols.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, oversee services (salon, training, hotel, adoptions), handle escalations, conduct monthly services walks, and manage events/marketing.
- Business Management: Drive sales, control shrink/P&L, manage expenses/labor, leverage resources for store improvements, and collaborate with services teams for growth.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3-5 years of retail leadership in customer-focused roles, full availability (evenings/weekends/holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Passion for pets and leadership excellence required.
