Role Overview
The Experience Leader (ELR) provides exemplary leadership to deliver outstanding pet parent service while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. Share responsibility for store safety, daily operations, and financial results. This full-time role demands flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, thriving in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, interview, coach, and develop associates; manage labor, training, and recognition to boost engagement.
- Store Experience: Oversee services like salon, training, hotel, adoptions; handle escalations, ensure pet safety, and lead events/marketing.
- Business Management: Drive sales, control P&L, expenses, and shrink; collaborate on scheduling and work orders for optimal performance.
Experience & Skills
Bring 3-5 years of retail leadership in customer-focused settings. Excel in computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and pet care knowledge. Prioritize safety, empowerment, and results.
