Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager - Customer Experience (Experience Leader) provides exemplary leadership to drive pet parent satisfaction, pet safety, and store success. Share responsibility for team development, service oversight, and financial results in a dynamic retail setting focused on pets.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Recruit, coach, mentor associates; manage labor, training, and recognition to build high-engagement teams.
  • Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, oversee services (salon, training, hotel, adoptions), ensure policy compliance, and handle pet health emergencies.
  • Business Management: Drive sales, control P&L metrics like shrink and expenses, optimize scheduling, and leverage resources for store improvements.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 3-5 years in retail leadership, full availability, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Passion for pets and customer focus essential.
