Role Overview

As Assistant Store Manager - Customer Experience, serve as the Experience Leader driving exceptional service, pet safety, and business results. Share leadership for store operations, people management, and financial outcomes while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach associates; manage labor, training, onboarding, and grievances; delegate tasks and foster engagement.
  • Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, oversee services (salon, training, hotel, adoptions), ensure pet health/safety, conduct services walks, and manage events/marketing.
  • Business Management: Drive sales, control P&L/shrink, manage expenses/labor, leverage resources for store improvements.

Experience & Skills

Require 3-5 years retail leadership in customer-focused settings, full-time flexibility, strong coaching/communication skills, and passion for pet care. Excel in team motivation, operational execution, and problem-solving to deliver outstanding results.
