Role Overview

The Experience Leader (ELR) provides exceptional leadership to drive pet parent experiences, uphold company values, and achieve business results. Share responsibility for team safety, pet welfare, daily operations, and financial performance in a dynamic pet retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage labor, training, and grievances; foster engagement through recognition and communication.
  • Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, oversee services (salon, training, hotel, adoptions), ensure compliance, conduct safety walks, and handle pet health issues.
  • Business Management: Drive sales, control P&L metrics like shrink and expenses, optimize scheduling, and leverage resources for store improvements.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 3-5 years in retail leadership or customer-focused roles. Must have full-time flexibility, computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Passion for pets and leadership excellence required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead people through recruiting, hiring, coaching, and development while managing labor and tasks
  • Drive exceptional pet parent experiences across in-store, phone, and online channels including services oversight
  • Ensure pet safety, conduct monthly services walks, and handle sick/injured pets
  • Manage store P&L including sales, shrink, expenses, and business growth opportunities
  • Oversee store events, marketing, compliance with policies, and opening/closing procedures
