Role Overview

The Experience Leader (ELR) provides exceptional leadership to drive pet parent satisfaction, uphold company values, and achieve business results. Share responsibility for store safety, operations, and financial performance while leading services like salon, training, hotel, and adoptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach associates; manage labor, training, onboarding, and recognition to boost engagement.
  • Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, resolve concerns, oversee services, events, and ensure pet health/safety protocols.
  • Business Management: Drive sales, control P&L metrics, manage expenses, and optimize productivity with services teams.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 3-5 years retail leadership in customer-focused settings. Key skills include full-time flexibility, team motivation, pet welfare expertise, operational efficiency, and problem-solving. Passion for pets and alignment with PetSmart's mission are essential.
