Role Overview

The Experience Leader (ELR) provides exceptional leadership to drive the pet parent experience through culture and strategies. This full-time role shares responsibility for team safety, pet health, daily operations, and financial results. You'll lead associates, oversee services, and ensure our Yonkers store upholds PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage labor, training, and recognition; address complaints and delegate tasks.
  • Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, oversee salon/training/hotel/day camp/adoptions, conduct services walks, ensure pet safety, and manage events/marketing.
  • Business Management: Drive sales, control P&L/shrink/expenses, optimize scheduling, and leverage resources for store improvements.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3-5 years of retail leadership in customer-focused settings, full availability (evenings/weekends/holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, and composure under pressure. Passion for pets and leadership excellence are key.
