Role Overview
As a Demand Planner, you'll own the end-to-end inventory lifecycle from purchase order creation to point-of-sale. Based in Phoenix, AZ, this hybrid role requires 4 days in-office weekly with one flex remote day. You'll ensure optimal inventory levels across distribution centers to support store sales, merchandising goals, and high instock rates. Collaborate cross-functionally with buying, planning, store operations, supply chain, and vendors to hit sales, margin, and inventory targets while building vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve KPIs for sales, margin, inventory turnover, store instocks, and fill rates.
- Forecast inventory needs at SKU/store level using demand planning systems.
- Manage purchase orders, on-time shipments, and vendor projections.
- Develop strategies for seasonal, inline, and one-time-buy programs.
- Lead allocation optimization, promotional product availability, and localization for unique store assortments.
- Communicate insights and action plans to cross-functional teams and leadership.
Experience & Skills
We're seeking analytical thinkers with 3+ years in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain in retail/consumer goods. Key skills include proficiency in forecasting tools, ERP systems, data-driven decision-making, and strategic opportunity identification. Strong communication, vendor management, and ability to balance execution with innovation are essential. Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.
