Role Overview
The Demand Planning Trainee Program is a 12-week immersive experience starting June 15th, 2026, designed for university grads (Late 2025 - Mid 2026) new to merchandising. Based onsite in Phoenix (hybrid: minimum 4 days in-office), you'll partner with Buyers, Planners, Supply Chain, and Operations. No visa sponsorship. Successful completion leads directly to a full-time Demand Planner position owning inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
During the program:
- Learn demand forecasting and inventory planning for optimal product availability.
- Assist with purchase orders, vendor partnerships, and issue resolution.
- Analyze SKU/store-level data to spot risks and opportunities.
- Support in-stock performance, Open-to-Buy, and seasonal planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally using planning systems for efficiency.
Post-program as Demand Planner:
- Own inventory for a business book, managing forecasts and service levels.
- Drive sales, margin, and turnover through execution.
Experience & Skills
Required: Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Analytics, Retail or equivalent (graduating soon). Motivated learners with limited merchandising experience. Strong analytical mindset, collaboration skills, and hybrid work commitment.

- Develop demand forecasting and inventory planning skills to ensure right product availability
- Support store in-stock, fill rates, purchase order accuracy, and on-time shipments
- Analyze sales, inventory, and forecast data at SKU and store levels
- Partner with Buyers, Planners, Supply Chain, and Vendors on business objectives
- Utilize planning systems for forecast evaluation and inventory adjustments
- Transition to full-time Demand Planner role owning inventory for a book of business
