Role Overview
The Merchandise Coordinator partners with vendors, merchandisers, planners, and marketing to maintain SKUs from introduction to promotion. Based in Phoenix, AZ, this role demands 4 days in-office weekly for seamless collaboration, with one approved remote flex day. Thrive in a fast-paced environment managing day-to-day product lifecycle for an omnichannel pet retail leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and input data for new vendor/item setups.
- Liaise between buyers and cross-functional teams.
- Oversee sample management, vendor monitoring, and payback.
- Execute promotions: collect, organize, enter, audit, and update in systems.
- Manage digital pricing, iMAP, omni-offers, and online assortments.
- Greenlight site items, set fulfillment, coordinate assets/PDP updates.
- Review/sign off marketing signage for stores.
- Handle category releases, store comms (CASE), and vendor issues.
Experience & Skills
Requires Associate's or Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years in buyer support, merchandising, or data entry. Excel proficiency (beginner), analytical skills, and impeccable data accuracy essential. Excel in organization, communication, and building vendor/team relationships. Omnichannel (stores/e-comm) experience preferred. Must adapt to shifting priorities with respect and professionalism.
