Role Overview

The Merchandise Coordinator partners with vendors, merchandisers, planners, and marketing to manage day-to-day item/SKU maintenance—from product introductions to promotions. This role ensures seamless operations across stores and e-commerce, delivering exceptional experiences for pet parents. Ideal for detail-oriented professionals ready to support buying strategies in a fast-paced pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and input data for new vendor and item setups.
• Liaise between buyers and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee sample management, vendor monitoring, and payback tracking.
• Execute promotions: collect, organize, enter, audit, and update in systems.
• Manage digital pricing, iMAP changes, and omni-channel offers with Site Merch team.
• Control online assortment: greenlight items, set fulfillment, coordinate assets/PDP updates.
• Review marketing signage for accuracy before store distribution.
• Handle category releases, store communications (CASE messages), and vendor issues.

Experience & Skills

Requires Associate's or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in buyer support, merchandising, or data entry. Excel proficiency (beginner), strong analytical and organizational skills, and excellent communication are essential. Thrive in dynamic settings with shifting priorities; omnichannel (stores + e-com) experience preferred. Build positive relationships with teams and vendors while maintaining data accuracy.
