Role Overview
As a Merchandise Financial Planner in Phoenix, Arizona, you'll craft accurate annual and seasonal financial plans supporting sales, margin, inventory, and turn goals. This full-time role influences merchandise strategy, vendor partnerships, and promotional success, ensuring PetSmart remains a trusted partner for pet parents nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Create rolling forecasts for sales, margin, receipts, inventory, and turn.
- Analyze trends and provide insights to maximize sales and productivity.
- Collaborate with Buyers to refine assortments and promotions.
- Optimize inventory across lifecycle, pricing, and seasonal transitions.
- Lead post-season analyses and special growth projects.
- Achieve KPIs including sales, margin, and inventory turnover targets.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail planning, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in forecasting tools. A bachelor's in Business or related field is required. Excel in data-driven decisions, cross-functional partnerships, and presenting to senior leadership. Passion for pets and retail a plus.
