Role Overview
As a Pet Bather in our Abbotsford, BC location, you'll deliver exceptional grooming services while ensuring positive experiences for pet parents and their furry companions. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, salon operations, and upholding PetSmart's high standards for safety and cleanliness in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete PetSmart’s Splash training and safety certification.
- Perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary shaves per company standards.
- Handle check-in/out procedures, greet pet parents, answer questions, and manage reservations.
- Maintain a safe, clean salon environment and respond to pet health issues immediately.
- Recommend products/services and assist in other store departments as needed.
Experience & Skills
No prior grooming experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, attention to safety, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs (team lift over 100 lbs), standing, stooping, and working in a wet, pet-filled environment with moderate noise.
