Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and store support in a dynamic retail environment. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Essential Physical Demands
Expect to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), stoop, kneel, and work in a wet, pet-hair-filled space with moderate to high noise. Depth perception and animal handling are key.
Key Responsibilities
Independently perform bath/brush services, nail trims, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards. Greet pet parents, manage reservations/check-ins, recommend wellness solutions, ensure cleanliness, and respond to pet emergencies by transporting to vets as needed. Participate in our culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—complete our Splash training. Bring computer proficiency, composure under pressure, organizational skills, and strong communication. Passion for pets and attention to safety/detail are must-haves.
