Role Overview
PetSmart's Professional Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role involves hands-on pet care, customer interaction, and store support in a dynamic retail environment with live animals, moderate noise, and physical demands like lifting 50+ lbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing per PetSmart standards post-Splash training.
- Handle check-in/out, reservations, and pet parent consultations in-person/phone/register.
- Identify/report sick pets, transport to vet if needed, ensure safe environment.
- Recommend health/wellness products, maintain salon/store cleanliness.
- Assist other departments, follow policies, participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have pet passion, computer proficiency, pressure-handling ability, flexible scheduling, organizational detail-orientation, and strong communication. Physical demands: standing, lifting 50-100 lbs, exposure to wet/hairy areas and animals.
