Role Overview

As a Pet Bather in our Augusta, Maine location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering exceptional salon services while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and safety standards. This entry-level role shares store cleanliness duties and promotes wellness solutions, perfect for animal lovers seeking flexible, rewarding work.

Key Responsibilities

Core Salon Services

Independently perform full bath/brush menus, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services per PetSmart standards. Complete Splash training and safety certification.

Customer & Pet Experience

Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and consultations in-person or by phone. Recommend merchandise/services and ensure a safe environment. Act swiftly on sick/injured pets, including vet transport.

Store Support

Maintain cleanliness, assist other departments, and follow all policies. Participate in our inclusive culture.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Ideal candidates have computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, stooping in a wet, pet-hair-filled environment with moderate noise and live animals.
