Role Overview

PetSmart's Professional Pet Bather delivers exceptional salon services, engages pet parents, and upholds safety standards. This entry-level role in our Austin store involves hands-on pet care, customer interactions, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Ideal for animal lovers seeking flexible hours and career advancement in pet retail.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete Splash training and perform full bath/brush services, nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary care per PetSmart standards.
• Greet pet parents, handle check-in/out, reservations, and recommend wellness solutions.
• Ensure pet safety, respond to sick/injured animals, and transport to vets as needed.
• Maintain salon/store cleanliness and assist other departments.
• Drive sales through merchandise and service recommendations.

Experience & Skills

No prior experience required—training provided. Successful candidates demonstrate pet affinity, customer service skills, computer proficiency, organizational abilities, and composure under pressure. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand for shifts, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include handling live animals in a wet, noisy environment.
